You’ll find sport courts, ballfields, dog parks and picnic spots in both Maple Valley and Black Diamond.

Lake Wilderness
Lake Wilderness is located in south King County within the City of Maple Valley. The lake is 67 acres in size with a mean depth of 21 feet; and with a maximum depth of 38 feet. The watershed is 318 acres in size and drains to Soos Creek.

Lake Lucerne is located in Maple Valley, Washington. The lake is 16 acres in size with a mean depth of 18 feet; and with a maximum depth of 37 feet. The watershed is 403 acres in size and includes drainage from adjacent Pipe Lake. Pipe Lake is partially located in both Covington and Maple Valley, Washington. The lake is 52 acres in size with a mean depth of 27 feet; and with a maximum depth of 65 feet. The watershed is 314 acres in size and drains to Lake Lucerne.

Lake Sawyer
Lake Sawyer is the fourth largest natural lake in King County with a surface area of 286.1 acres. The lake is located in Black Diamond, within the Big Soos Creek Basin of the Green River Watershed.
The lake is used extensively for boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Public access to the lake is from the park on the northwest shore and from Lake Sawyer Regional Park on the sound end of the lake. The City of Black Diamond annexed the lake and surrounding homes in 1998.
