Advanced Packet Pickup
Stay tuned for packet pickup opportunities taking place prior to race day.
Day-Of Schedule
– Packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 AM on race day. Come early to grab coffee and snacks, visit our merch table, take photos in our photo booth (and with our giant turkey!), or fill out a gratitude card! There’s plenty to do and we’ll have a DJ on the beach to keep up the energy!
– The race will begin at the Beach House at Lake Wilderness Park promptly at 9:00.
Parking
Please utilize the lower parking lots at the Lake Wilderness Lodge, nearest the arboretum, or the park parking lots specifically. Upper lots near the lodge will be closed off for safety on the route.
Chip Timing
This event will NOT be timed. A fun-run in its fullest form!
Strollers, Dogs, Bikes, and Water
We encourage the use of jogging strollers along the route of this family-friendly 5K. However, out of consideration for other participants, dogs will not be allowed on the course (with the exception of service dogs). For the safety and convenience of all participants, bikes are NOT permitted, as this is a fairly narrow out and back course. We will have water stations near the beach house before and after the race.
Accessibility
Please note that, while generally flat, this race course may not be suitable for all abilities, as the terrain is both paved and gravel. There is a slight incline to access the Green to Cedar River Trail from the arboretum. We will have volunteers stationed at these points to assist on an as-needed basis.
