Sue VanRuff
BiographySue VanRuff has served as the Executive Director of the Chamber since August 2003. Sue brings with her the first hand knowledge of owning and running a business in the community. Bill & Sue VanRuff have owned Wilderness Chevron Service since 1975. The day-to-day operations of their business are now being conducted by their oldest son, Eric and his wife, Cari.
Timing is everything; Sue wasn't ready for retirement and the position of executive director presented itself. (Sue has served on the board of directors almost continuously since 1980, serving as the president in 1988.) She jumped at the challenge of creating and defining the job of executive director so the Chamber can continue to grow and bring value to its membership. She is absolutely committed to the prosperity and quality of life available to the citizens of Maple Valley and Black Diamond.
Bill & Sue moved to Maple Valley in 1976 and have two sons, Eric and Billy, both graduates of Tahoma High School. EducationUniversity of Washington
